Deeply aware of its social responsibility to handle personal information (information that can be used to identify specific individuals) in an appropriate manner, Umi Co., Ltd. is committed to manage personal information in an appropriate manner in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws, regulations and guidelines regarding the protection of personal information.
In accordance with our Code of Ethics, we have established this policy, established a personal information management system and take responsible actions as a corporation.
Policy 1.
We will specify the purpose of use of personal information to the best extent that we are able and handle it appropriately within the scope necessary to achieve that purpose.
In addition, personal information provided by a contractor in connection with the commissioning of business will be used only to the degree necessary to achieve the purpose of the contract with the contractor.

Personal Information Management
Umi Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) will post this Privacy Policy, respect the privacy of companies, partner companies, organizations, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “User Companies, etc.”) that use its services provided in accordance with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”) and users of the Services (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) and manage personal information (as defined below) with the utmost care.
1 Personal Information
Personal information refers to information about a living individual that can be used to identify the specific individual by name, address, telephone number, email address, school name or other description that constitutes such information.
2 Purpose of Collection of Personal Information
Personal information collected will be used for the following purposes.
(1) Personal information obtained from Users
・ To provide services (execution of contracted work, delivery, return of information materials and management of customer information)

3 Specific Personal Information Protection Policy
Personal numbers and information that includes personal numbers of employees and their dependents, freelancers who are our partners, etc. (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Specified Personal Information, etc.”) will be managed in accordance with the following policy.
(1) Compliance with Laws and Regulations
In managing Specified Personal Information etc., the Company will comply with the “Number Law” and related laws, regulations, guidelines, etc.
(2) Restrictions on acquisition, use and provision
The Company will not acquire, use, or provide specific personal information, etc., except to the extent necessary for affairs stipulated by law.
(3) Safety management measures
The Company will position Specified Personal Information, etc. as one of the most important pieces of information, manage it appropriately and establish a management system for it within the company. The scope of access to Specified Personal Information, etc. shall be limited to the minimum necessary for business execution. Specified Personal Information, etc. will be promptly disposed of once the purpose of use is achieved.
(4) Complaints and consultations
Complaints and consultations regarding specific personal information, etc. are accepted at the Personal Information Management Desk.
4 Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual concerned, except when the law requires it be treated as an exception. The information will be provided only with the consent of the individual concerned after specifying the content and recipient of the information to be provided.
In the event that the Company shares personal data with a specific third party, it will directly notify the individual that the personal data will be shared with the specific party, the items, scope and purpose of use of personal data and the name of the party responsible for the management of the personal data.
5 Disclosure of Personal Information
In accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, the Company complies with requests for notification of the purpose of use of personal data and its disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of personal data, cessation of use or deletion, as well as cessation of its provision to third parties (hereinafter collectively referred to as “requests for disclosure, etc.”).
To request disclosure of your personal information, please send your request by postal mail to the Personal Information Inquiry Desk below, along with a document that verifies your identity (driver’s license, passport, health insurance certificate, resident certificate, copy of seal registration certificate, etc.) and a postal fee (624 yen in postage stamps). If the request is made by a delegate, please enclose a letter of attorney in addition to the documents above that can verify the identity of the person.
After verification, the Company will notify you of our response to your request for disclosure of personal information in writing by postal mail to the address of the individual or his/her representative. In addition, if the Company decides against disclosing the information for legitimate reasons, it will notify you by postal mail stating them.

7 Changes to Privacy Policy
The Company reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, except as otherwise provided by law.
