Information Security Basic Policy
Umi Co., Ltd. provides translation and related services to customers in Japan and abroad. Ensuring the safety of information assets is crucial for our customers to use our services with peace of mind. We will establish the following policies, build an appropriate information security management system and strive to continuously improve and enhance it.
1. Efforts for information security management
We will strive to protect all information assets it holds and comply with laws, regulations and other standards related to information security. All employees involved with the management of our information assets will work responsibly to earn the trust of the customers and society.
2. Assignment of an information security manager
An information manager will be assigned to protect information assets. In addition, we will accurately assess the status of information security, actively work to promptly implement necessary measures and take appropriate management measures.
3. Compliance with laws and regulations
When implementing information security measures, we will comply with relevant laws, regulations and contractual requirements.
4. Improvement of information security literacy
We will raise awareness of information security to enable all involved with our information assets to carry out their duties with proper information security literacy. We will thoroughly implement security education and training and continue to provide education and training.
5. Accident Prevention and Response
We will implement a system that reflects measures to prevent unauthorized intrusion, leakage, falsification, loss, destruction and obstruction of use of information assets. In the unlikely event of an accident, the person in charge of information management will take the lead to promptly implement appropriate measures, including measures to prevent recurrence.
6. Development of Audit System
We will work to establish a system to regularly audit the operational status of the management system, including information security policies, regulations and rules.
7. Continuous Improvement
The Company will regularly evaluate and review the basic policy on information security as well as our related rules and management system. We will strive to maintain information security by protecting information assets from various threats and handling them appropriately.
